Community Groups

“It is only within the community that there is the possibility of knowing and being known, loving and being loved, serving and being served, celebrating and being celebrated.” - Gilbert Bilezikian

Community groups at Calvary are driven by the goal to see followers of Christ connected and growing together, connected and growing in God and connected to the mission of reaching our unbelieving community with the love of Jesus.

About Groups

On the "Find a Group" page, you will see that we divided groups into two classifications: Discipleship Groups and Connect Groups.

Discipleship groups are intentional at helping a new or seasoned follower of Jesus grow in their faith. These groups focus on fellowship and practicing spiritual disciplines, such as prayer, Bible study and serving. An unbeliever can also benefit from a discipleship group if desired. Examples: Support groups, prayer, Bible and book studies.

Connect groups focus on Christian fellowship and providing a friendly, fun and inviting atmosphere for those who may be an unbeliever or typically do not go to church. Examples: Motorcycle group, Hoofbeats (horse riding) group and home fellowship groups.

Community groups meet on Wednesday’s, Sunday’s and various times throughout the week. Please read carefully for times and locations and always contact your group leader in case the times or locations have changed!
